‘You’re My Pet’ sold to 9 Asian countries thanks to “Jang Keun Suk effect”

The movie You’re My Pet is currently causing a sensation in Asia.

The movie is about a girl named Ji Eun (played by Kim Ha Neul), who is beautiful and talented but not lucky in love, and Kang In Ho (played by Jang Keun Suk), who becomes her pet and their transition from friends to lovers. The movie was sold to 9 Asian countries, including Japan, China, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Brunei.

In Japan, the movie will be released on January 1 of the next year in over 100 theaters. Toho, one of the biggest film distribution company in Japan, said that the movie will be a great hit and it will increase the popularity of Korean films in Japan.

China, which rarely releases Korean movies, will also release You’re My Pet in February or March. Jang, who has over 800 thousand Chinese fans, and Kim, who helped the movie 7th Grade Civil Servant become a hit, showed their power in the movie world.

Many Asians from the 9 countries are eagerly anticipating the movie.
